Why we love this book: Meagan recommends Radical Remission not only for people who have cancer, but also for those who want to heal in any capacity. Kelly Turner’s 9 methods have been at the core of Meagan’s healing journey. Radical Remission analyzes 50 holistic healers’ practice and focuses on twenty radical remission cancer survivors in their healing techniques. The 9 common themes have helped even terminal patients have a radical remission.
Why we love this book: Meagan read Radical Hope as soon as it came out because Kelly Turner’s 9 healing factors have been so powerful in her healing. She was eager to read a more in-depth explanation of the 9 factors and added 10th factor into the healing. Kelly Turners factors have been a powerful north star in Meagan’s healing journey.
Why we love this book: There are so many emotions, treatments and decisions a person can go through in this process it is nice to know there are other people out there going through the same situations. This book blatantly illustrates what most of us are going through with cancer. It is an empowering book describing cancer’s emotional rollercoaster in a relatable way.
Why we love this book: Meagan has decided to change her life radically in order to fight her cancer. This book inspired her to keep going on her journey even though these radical changes have been extremely difficult. Chris Wark describes how after he received colon cancer surgery he then opted out of chemotherapy for a toxin-free diet and lifestyle. He illustrates in-depth and clear strategies about the therapy that helped himself heal from cancer through radical life style changes.
BECOMING CENTRED
Why we love this book: Gabrielle Bernstein teaches readers how to transform their fear into faith in order to live a divinely guided life. This book has helped us relinquish the need to control, so we can relax into a sense of certainty and freedom. It is not always easy to find a connection with the universe, but her guidance in this book helps us to get to our true purpose: to be love and spread love. The universe is a perfect guide to trusting that the universe has our back and is filled with love.
Why we love this book: Dr. Joe Dispenza’s work is all about unlocking your potential and using your mind to heal your body. He empowers people to change from the inside out. Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself shows how you can rewire the mind to totally change your reality. Dispenza uses a combination of science and spirituality to explore the effect our minds have on our lives.
MIND-BODY CONNECTION
Why we love this book: Dr. Sadeghi guides readers through all the noise and demands of daily living to create a clean, unadulterated space inside of themselves to process the information, emotions, relationships and events in their lives. We strongly believe in Dr. Sadeghi’s approach to healing past traumas because stress from those traumas creates inflammation in the body. We believe that clearing those things in life will move us closer to healing our bodies.
Why we love this book: We strongly believe in the mind-body connection. Louise L. Hay describes the movement from personal acceptance to allow us to transform despair and resentment into self-acceptance and self-love. It is a path that channels the energy wasted in negative emotions and focuses it on treating the illness and alleviating its symptoms. We enjoyed the simple and friendly style Hay presents with simple methods to healing the body.
Why we love this book: Highly sensitive people (empaths) see life through the eyes of compassion and caring. Northrop’s latest research, along with stories from her global community and her own life, explores the phenomenon of energy vampires and show us how we can spot them, dodge their tactics, and take back our own energy. This book taught us so much about the patterns of behavior that mark these relationships. It showed us how to heal from the darkness that energy vampires cast over your mind, body, and spirit.
Why we love this book: Dr. Rankin strongly believes in the body’s ability to heal itself. Through peer reviewed medical literature, she documents how loneliness, pessimism and anxiety can have an effect on the self-healing process. We like how she targets the mind’s effects on the body. We truly believe there is a connection and that where the mind resides the body will heal.
Why we love this book: This book is a fun exploration of science and spirituality as Lipton dives into how our thoughts impact our environment and biology. Lipton believes that our genes do not determine our biology. Instead he argues that our mind plays a large part in determining our physical health.
He also argues that healing and recovery are individual. We are all unique and should try out various different approaches to find the most effective treatments for us. I thought that this was a great book and loved the way it explores the power of positive thinking. It definitely inspired me to change the way I think about my thoughts, it’s quite scientific so if like us you have a creative brain it might be easier to listen to it in audible format.
SELF EMPOWERMENT
Why we love this book: This revealing and powerful memoir is the story of how one woman learned that a responsible mother is not one who slowly dies for her children, but one who shows them how to fully live. Doyle shows how each of us can begin to trust ourselves enough to set boundaries, make peace with our bodies, honor our anger and heartbreak, and unleash our truest, wildest instincts.
Why we love this book: Imagine if you lived without the fear of not being good enough. If you could let go of the guilt and stop beating yourself up for making human mistakes. This book has taught us to stop letting our fears drown out our dreams and narrow our world, along with our chance at happiness. We want to choose bravery over perfection because this book is so empowering. This book inspires us to go for the things we genuinely, passionately want, and we hope it does the same for you.
Why we love this book: This is a wonderful book on personal growth. Delia guides readers on how to step into your power, connect with your energy and raise your vibration. Vibrating higher daily is about making intentional day-to-day choices that lift us out of mindsets, habits, and lifestyles that don’t serve us and into ones that do. This book is an invitation to engage with everything that feeds our soul and raises our vibration, and to simultaneously let go of the things bringing our energy down.
Through poetry, mantras, and affirmations, Lalah Delia empowers us to live with higher potential and quality of being.
Why we love this book: This book helps you get beyond the fear in your mind in order to step into your full potential and live a life full of creativity and joy. Whether or not you consider yourself an artistic person, Big Magic inspires you to see the magic in everything you do. Gilbert defines creativity as anything which inspires you and helps you see the joy in life. She encourages you to challenge your fear, embrace your curiosity and live creatively, showing how we can all find and create big magic.

Why we love this book: The word inflammation pops up all over, but what is it, why do you have it, why is it bad and how do you reduce it? Enter Dr. Will Cole to break it all down for you. Whilst everyone is different there are some common areas across nutrition. This book is a wonderful resource for navigating your own inflammatory triggers.
Why we love this book: Gut health has been buzzing around for a while now, but what does it mean? Why is it so important to those going through treatment or preventing reoccurrence? This book explores the dialogue between the gut and the brain, with implementation techniques to create a healthy balance between the two. The mind is often overlooked in healing but when we see how much power we have by controlling what we feed our gut it’s quite literally mind blowing.
Why we love this book: Here at Love Beats All we believe whole heartedly that one food journey is not right for everyone. If you take a little bit of advice from a variety of sources you could be onto a winner. Why we love this book: If you’ve googled recipe books for cancer, you’ll have found a giant list of wonderful options. We’ve done the testing for you and this would be the one we recommend as a starting point. It’s based on creating an anti-inflammatory diet in which the body is in the best state to heal. It contains easy to make recipes, which nourish your body and guide you through treatment side effects.
DETOX YOUR ATMOSPHERE
Why we love this book: This book is the perfect book to have on hand as you start to detox your surroundings. Dimmock walks you through everything from products to fabrics, cosmetics to electronics. It’s simple, informative and full of easy to implement suggestions. We are trying every day to take the toxic burden off so that our body can heal easier and at a more rapid rate.
Why we love this book: This beautiful book is full of at home practices we have implemented into our daily life to lower stress, improve breathing, add in gentle movement and improve mindfulness. Why we love this book: This is both self-empowering and a lifestyle implementation. Gratitude is an essential practice in our day to day life. Intentionally finding things we are grateful for enables us to find the joy in our lives. This journal also helps us to outline goals, work through fears, and generally clear your head, to make space for healing and a restorative sleep.
Why we love this book: Creating calm in your environment wherever you are, coloring is a beautiful way to reduce stress and place the body into a state of healing. Specifically geared toward those going through cancer, this is a great way to spend time in the chemo chair, in the doctors office or at home.
